Owen Strand was the lone survivor of his firehouse in Manhattan on 9/11 nearly 20 years ago. Owen has had the unenviable task of rebuilding his station in the wake of the attack. After a similar tragedy occurs in a firehouse in Austin, Owen takes his progressive philosophies of life and firefighting down to Texas along with his troubled firefighter son, T.K., where he helps them start a new. Owen is all about big-city elegance and swagger on the surface, but underneath he's dealing with a mystery he's keeping from the world-one that could very well end his life.Once in Austin, Owen meets with paramedic Michelle Blake, the smart and humorous chief, and with police officer Carlos Reyes. Then, he starts assembling his new team of diverse and qualified Firehouse 126 candidates.
