1917 Movie Info

April 6 1917, at the peak of World War I, apparently impossible mission is being given to two young British Soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic's George MacKay)and Blake (Game of Thrones ' Dean-Charles Chapman. It was not possible untill Blake Identifies Schofield that they learn of the mission's dangerous nature. In order to convey the message to Colonel Mackenzie heading another nearby battalion, they had to cross no one's land what they were told. The abandoned German trenches to get through Mackenzie just pass the nearby town of Écoust. Tomorrow's message, which must reach Mackenzie by dawn to abort the attack of his troop then on the allegedly retreating Germans who are actually waiting, the Germans planning this deception for months. MacKenzie's and his 1600 men's lives at risk if the message fails to pass in time. One of the men was the brother of Blake, Lt. Joseph Blake. The stories of Blake and Schofield as it relates to them as soldier in the wider context picture of the war, as soldiers trying to stay alive, as mates, and as a human beings who have their own reasons are told as long as they can continue this mission.
